The more You say: Amend your ways ! - The more I know I won't !
The more You say: You know you are wrong ! - The more I know I won't !   
The more You tell me others have changed - The more I know I won't !
The more You tell me others have listened - The more I know I won't !
The more You tell me others have heard - The more I know I won't !
The more You tell me others have believed - The more I know I won't !
   
I tell You this:
The more you believe right now you won't
The Day will come I know you will !
And it wasn't long until:
   
The more You say: You can't save yourself ! - The more I know I can't !
The more You say: It's Time to walk upright ! - The more I know I can't !   
The more You tell me to make all things right - The more I know I can't !
The more You tell me to think righteous thoughts - The more I know I can't !      
The more You tell me to give You one good reason - The more I know I can't !
The more you tell me I haven't found The Answer - The more I know I can't !      
   
I tell You this:
The more you believe right now you can't
The Day will come I know you can !
and then before I knew it:
   
The more You say: You shall understand the reason  - The more I know I don't !
The more You say: You shall recognize the season  -   The more I know I don't !
The more You tell me to believe The Voice I've heard - The more I know I don't ! 
The more You tell me to trust those things I've seen - The more I know I don't !
The more You tell me exactly what things to speak  -  The more I know I don't !
The more You tell where I am to look for The Truth  -  The more I know I don't !
I tell You this:
The more you believe right now you don't
The Day will come I know you do !
