My Father Knows

In Beginning - I hadn't known
I was born in the state of sin,
protected by Your Covenant
as I was covered by a skin;

Should The Truth be known - This Treasure Is -
A Blessing in Disguise!

Would I choose to accept The Truth
or in my own eyes be wise?

You tried so hard to reinforce -
You taught The Way the only course,
With Your firm hand You placed on me -
Your instruction revealed the source;

Should The Truth be known - This Treasure Is -
A Blessing in Disguise!

Would I choose to accept The Way
knowing You never told any lies?

You lived Your Work - You led The Way -
You showed me how - You made night day,
You taught Prestige - You gave Your name -
All are The Promises I now proclaim;

Should The Truth be known - This Treasure Is -
A Blessing in Disguise!

Should I choose to keep the reason why
or spend my life and Him deny?

So after all is said and done -
I should then know the race I've run,
resulted from Your humble ways
and taught the life of peace that pays;

Should The Truth be known - This Treasure Is -
A Blessing in Disguise!

Should I choose to Honor You by
proclaiming The Gospel in all my cries?
