You Touched Me

when this morning I woke to find,
to a matter I had been blind;
and now this evening I realize,
why You placed such sleep upon my eyes;
for the need I became aware
so I would truly be without care;
to recognize and accept Your Word,
that which was purposed to be heard;
to know the Who, the why, even the what,
I must open my heart when my eyes are shut;
It's then I Trust Only You, My Lord,
You protect and rescue me
from his vicious sword!
