I had a simple smile upon my face

But a frown was within my heart

I knew that You could see this

But You told me not to depart!

I walked a mile in half time

But I stood still for just a pace

I knew that You had heard this

But You told me to stay in the race!

I looked in every nook and cranny

While I kept my eyes closed tight

I knew that You had touched this

When You gave me the strength to fight!

I worked The Work You gave me

But I took the time to play

I knew that You have been there

When You Introduced me to To Day!
