Promises of:
The First & Second Epistle General of
Peter
1 Peter
1:3-5
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to
his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus
Christ from the dead, 4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth
not away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith
unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
1 Peter
1:13
Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that
is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
1 Peter
1:17
And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every
man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:
1 Peter
2:24
Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins,
should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
1 Peter
3:12
For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto
their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
1 Peter
4:14
If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory
and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is
glorified.
1 Peter
5:4-7
4 And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth
not away. 5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be
subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and
giveth grace to the humble. 6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God,
that he may exalt you in due time: 7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for
you.
1 Peter
5:10
But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after
that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

2
Peter 1:4
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be
partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through
lust.
2
Peter 1:8
For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be
barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
2
Peter 1:10-11
10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure:
for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: 11 For so an entrance shall be ministered
unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
2:12-13
12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the
things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption; 13 And
shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot
in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own
deceivings while they feast with you;
2
Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is
longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to
repentance.
2
Peter 3:13
Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein
dwelleth righteousness.
