SPIRITUAL CATARACTS

For many years I remained spiritually dead, being blind and lacking vision; and not because I knew about being blind but that I was forcefully being blinded. Then one day, divine favor was given to me which released my blinders & I was able to see & my vision was restored. Unknown to me at the time because of my youth was the fact that the day would come when I would suffer in later years from a thing that is common to those who have had their vision for many years & suddenly will find out from age there is a possible devastating problem which can develop, & it is called cataracts of the eye. The condition causes varying degrees of loss of vision which are easily noticed by each person suffering from the condition. At the first moment, that moment the Lord was trying to reveal the truth to me, I did not fully understand but as time went on I came to realize what He was telling me. I heard a familiar phrase & wondered. The good bring out the good in man & those that are bad bring out the bad in a man. Please hear me as I share with you the change the Lord has made in me, as I desire from my heart for you as well to be so changed that you as well will have any & all cataracts removed from your eyes that you unknowingly have. A cataract is something which causes one to not be able to see clearly, specifically, it is an area or areas in the eye, in the lens of the eye which is or are no longer transparent. Something has caused the lens to become clouded, & being uncorrected, failure of vision resulting in blindness is fully possible. Once they have developed, they must be surgically removed.  I do not desire to allow my vision to become so clouded that I can not see the truth. I thank God that should my vision become clouded, God is able to supernaturally surgically remove those cataracts from my eyes that the enemy has placed there to effect his victory not only in others lives but my own.I am now considering what some of those cataracts are.The one on the top of the list is the one I want to focus on.We find many times in our lives, the enemy will send someone under his control into our lives diverting us from the path the Lord has designed for us. This person brings out the bad in us. We also find that there are people who are indwelt by The Spirit of God that come into our lives which The Lord uses to keep us on our true course. The first will bring out the darkness that is in us, while the second will bring out & cause to shine brightly, the light that is in us. What I have realized is that the first may have been sent by the enemy,but God has allowed both to remain that He might test us, to prove us, to see if we would keep His ways or not. Through the ordeal, by trusting God,we will find ourselves strengthened & able to overcome & allow the true light in us to be revealed. With the recent devastating occurrences we all have been confronted with & are continually having to face, the enemy wants us to corrupt ourselves & become entangled & polluted; thinking we will be lost for ever while others also will remain as a result, also lost. He thinks that the cataracts that he has placed will cause us to become as blind as we once were.Through that loss of vision, because of those cataracts, words are spoken which should not have been spoken, our involvement in conversations which should have been avoided, a show of ungodliness rather than indwelt holiness; all of which are the result he is eagerly pursuing with his all. Finally, a key sign of the cataracts being present in our own eyes is when we find ourselves unable to keep from answering the following comment;" What is your opinion or belief about this or that?" Remember that God has intended for our opinions & beliefs to be expressed only when He chooses, we are to think twice & speak once. We all kill more with our tongue than all wars combined.
