WOULD IT MAKE A DIFFERENCE

You think you know what your purpose is, and knowing what your purpose is - is not enough. You still are so high minded that you are looking after a sign that you are something rather than being content with what you are; which is the greatest thing on this earth. That is being a child of the highest. You are looking after a sign that Jesus has indeed endorsed you and has, in a manner of speaking, given you something that you can turn on and off at anytime you so decide. That is not how the power of God works. You think that you need proof that you have been endued with power direct from the throne of God before you can consider yourself able to do the work of an evangelist. You must serve him where you are at before you will know how the power of God works and be able to serve him with a higher profile than you are experiencing. Many souls are at stake and must be treasured.

Let us consider what the Lord has told us. But you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His. The power is not in you, it is in the Spirit of the living God because the point needing to be made is that The Spirit is not in you as much as you are to be in the Spirit if the Spirit is in you. Now that He is in you, you should be in Him, you should be submitted to Him that He might reveal Himself in you.

Now if you are waiting to have Him reveal himself in you without you doing what He has commanded you to do, your hope is in vain. You must serve Him where you are at. Looking after a sign is a vain thing, something of the carnal mind. Should speaking in tongues be the utmost thing on your mind, you have missed the point for not all receive the same gift. What if you never speak in tongues that you are aware of, would that stop you from serving God where you are at? Have you considered the souls that might be lossed due to your refusal to serve the living God where you are at? He provided you the opportunity to witness for Him to help a brother or sister in need of help and you refused as you considered yourself unable to do the work of an evangelist. Again, you have misunderstood the power of God. You are to speak the words, so that He would be enabled to confirm the words that you just spoke. His Power can not come until action on our part has been taken. After all, it is not by our power, or by our might, but it is by the Spirit of God. When, where, how, and why aren't important.

I myself fell into this trap, but thanks to God and by the grace of God, and by that I mean, by The Spirit of The Living God; He helped me to understand that no matter how many great servants of God I may be aware of; He only has one of me, and He is waiting for me to do my best for Him right where I am at, and by His promise He would never leave me or forsake me, His power would always be present should I choose to be in submission to Him to allow Him to work in me and through me.
