"FOLLOW THOU ME ! "

One day as I was searching for the way to my destination, I came upon a fellow which I had the distinct feeling could help me reach my way home. I had been away from home, on a road I had never before traveled, and in the process, I had become disoriented and had lost my way, to the point, that I did not know where I was or how I would get back on course. I remember asking Him if He would tell me how to get there. He was very considerate as He instructed me about the best way to get there. I also remember that just as I was about to ask Him, if He would be so kind, only if He had the time, could He possibly even lead me at least part of the way; He said to me: " Follow me, I will show you the way, I will lead you home. "

Many times The Lord has shown me so many word pictures. This is a time no different. Just as these word pictures symbolize my walk with Him, this example helps to reveal to me vital thoughts about my walk with Him. As I am driving, I see the vehicle before me, which I have been following, for many miles, as leading me on my course. I must pay very close attention to him for several reasons. If I should become distracted by the scenery along the way; I might not notice that he has turned off on another road, or he might have slowed down at which time I without thinking might run into him, or he might even have sped up - ( as He knows that I was being distracted - intending for me to realize the need to pay attention to the matter at hand and follow more intently due to all the temptations along my path) in which case, I need also to speed up to maintain sight and hearing of my leader.

Of course, I must expect that there will be many times that an obstacle might come between us to impair my vision by distracting me or delaying me, in order to accomplish the enemies purpose and causing me to lose my way, at which time my Guide will be constantly reassuring me of The Right Way to get back on course. One might say that there are many ways to get home, but there is only One Way to get Home; and we must admit to The Truth, no matter what any one says.
