" My All - Is A Privilege "

He was strictly told of the one thing he could not do! The supreme principle was right there in the beginning. The main point, which was the pivotal point of the entire concept is grasped by any with a true hunger for the truth. They as well as all of us have been given the same command. We as well as they who fell to the temptation, are also falling to the temptation and being disobedient. Consider the possibility of a layman translation for the command, being: It is not yours, It is Mine, Do not use it for your own purposes! Regard it as being Mine!

God told Adam not to partake of the tree of knowledge of good and evil which was in the center of the garden of God. What if Adam had realized that this tree was God's special and private tree? What if he would have thought, Oh Lord, it is such a privilege to take care of your Tree. I am going to do every thing I can to see to it's well being, I'm going to treasure it with all of my love and attention. It is yours and only yours, and I am going to protect it with my life. I believe, then God would have revealed to Adam what it contained. God would have revealed to him the knowledge of good and evil without having had to experience the ugly side of the cost of disobedience. Sin nature was present in man, even in the very beginning; as it was revealed through the cunning act by the subtle beast.

I now choose to make a comparison of the life of Adam to my own. God gave Adam a command which is the very same command He is giving me. I am not to eat of This, His Tree, which is in the center of His garden. In considering this thought, I see that His garden is wherever I happen to be; my presence happening to be the center of the garden for it is where I am at, at any given moment; my life is the tree which I am not to consider my own because it is His; so now what is the correlation of this tree in my life; I wonder if it is my heart, my mind, my hands, my feet, or something else. It is my entire life; it is my entire service to Him, my entire waiting upon Him, wherever He leads me in any opportunity that He gives me, proving by my works as a confession of love for Him.

What about the command, The Lord's command, give him the first ten per cent of every thing? This tree being Adam's first ten per cent, also being ours is a thought I choose to consider. God's example for us proved this point as Jesus knew, he had no sin nature but he did possess the knowledge of good and evil; which was proven when approached by the devil; His reply was: "It is written. " So now I know that if I first consider that my life is not my life, and I will willingly lay it down and consider it His, by allowing Him to live His life through me; I will then be blessed by God to receive of God, that knowledge which comes only from God, to be able to fight a good fight; to be able to engage in warfare against my subtle enemy which I can not fight with my own strength and expect a victory.
