WAIT ON ME !

As a wholesale businessman, I found myself in many situations.  Many times I would meet new people who would be a challenge to me.  But this one occurrence, was a perfect example of how closely a paid attention to the people I meet.  More than that, it was a test to see how closely I listened to conversations and gleaned from them, The Truth that was meant for my ears.

This day as I entered the business, I was to be met by someone other than the purchasing agent.  I left no merchandise as this business did not have a standing order, and I feared for leaving undesired items.  I was to realize the mistake the next time I went there.  I was also to receive a new revelation into truth when I returned to that business.

When I returned, the business owner was upset that I had not been in touch with her the previous week.
She told me in the conversation I had with her, to make sure that in the future I did this one thing:
Wait on Me!

As we talked that day, I was to be told the same thing three times.  The first time I heard her voice, but the second and third time I knew someone else was talking.  My question was,
What are You saying to me, LORD?

After leaving the business, while driving, I spoke with The LORD.  He caused me to understand the message He had planned for my ears.  Through a verse in scripture I understood.

Three times I Heard,
Wait on Me!     Wait on Me!!     Wait on Me!!!

I had previous revelations of the term but this one was different.  I knew that there was deeper truth for me to understand.  When Isaiah 40:31 came to mind, in conjunction with Romans 12:1;  I knew that while I was to wait on the Lord, I was also to continue serving Him without hesitation.  Just as a waiter in a restaurant waits on people, or any other business employee waits on customers;
I was to wait on The LORD.

So I will present my body as a living sacrifice unto The LORD - which is my reasonable service while I seek not my own power to work, but allow The Spirit to work the work that needs to be done.

To wait on The LORD is not to sit idly waiting but to place all trust in Him who does the work.
